We are pleased to announce the return of the “Camden Alumni News” page publication to the Queen Central News. We will be working on the next edition over the next couple weeks, so if anyone has anything to contribute, now is the time. Your thoughts on the recent banquet, changes to the banquet in the future, especially with the closing of Katie & Karl’s Restaurant the October requiring a change in venue for next year, anything you would like to contribute would be welcome. It might not show up in the next edition, depending on space and content, but everything will be reviewed for use in the future,
Send your news items, photos, comments, etc, to the Camden Alumni News email address: [email protected]
First of all, I wish to apologize for being an “absent host” on this website the past few months. I have been involved with a lot of personal activities, including some traveling during the month of May. This did not leave a lot of time for other activities I should have worked on 🙁
So, that being said, here is a photo gallery of pictures taken at the annual banquet yesterday:

During the recent Alumni Board meeting, the picture below fell out of one board member’s folder, so we decided we just had to share with everyone. Without scrolling down to the “NOW” picture, can you determine who the two people are in the “THEN” photo below?

Raffle Results:
All the participants who donated items for the raffle and those who purchased a ticket were greatly appreciated because all the profits are given to the Alumni Association’s Scholarship Fund. This year proved to be very unique when Anne Schieferstine was asked to reach into the ticket container and pull out the $25 ticket winner. When the number was announced, she was pleasantly surprised to discover she was the big winner. All other ticket holders were then given an opportunity to select an item on the raffle table. A container was also passed around the room for those who chose to donate more to the scholarship fund. That amounted to $53. The raffle profit was $105. Therefore, a check for $158 will be sent to the Association Scholarship Fund.
Shown in the picture from Left to Right: (partially hidden) Bruce Theobald, `57, reunion organizer; David Spainhower, `51; Anita Phelps Lockhart, `51; Suzanne Theobald Elston, `56; Patricia Theobald Abrams, `51; Jean Standing Smith and Clarence “LeRoy” Smith, `51. Jean and Roy have attended all the reunions, Pat missed one.

The Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority has been hard at work demolishing the abandoned Blue House in front of the high school. Now that everyone can see some real progress on this project, it would be greatly appreciated if we could collect more donations to complete the financing of this project.
We still need a little over $12,400 in tax-deductible donations to complete the financing so we can repay the Regan’s, who financed the initial property purchase and cover the rest of the expenses we have accumulated handling this project.
Please help with the completion of this project by making your check to:
