Date Set for the 2015 Annual Meeting & Banquet

Mark your calendar, as we have set the date and location for the Camden Alumni Association Annual Meeting & Banquet.  The date for the event is Saturday, June 13th, with a final schedule of times yet to be determined, but most likely the same as last year.

This year’s Annual Meeting & Banquet will be held at the High School Cafeteria, with catering provided by Dean’s Concessions once again this year.  Last year’s banquet was considered one of the best in recent history by those attending, so we figured why mess with something that worked so well and was so well received by those in attendance.

More information will be coming in the near future, with a planned mailing of the annual banquet reservation form in the middle of April.  Email notifications will also go out at about that time as well.

Annual Banquet: June 7, 2014

Dear Camden Alumnus,

We hope this post finds you happy and healthy. We are planning the Annual Meeting and Banquet of the Camden Alumni Association, to be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 and hope you can attend. Click here for complete information.

Banquet Reservations: If you plan to attend the Annual Meeting and Banquet, Saturday, June 7, 2014, please complete and return the reservation form by Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Note that we are setting a deadline for reservations to better serve the Alumni. Reservations received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed to be accepted. Please return the registration form with your Alumni Dues ($5), whether you plan to attend or not. Your dues help to cover the expenses of conducting the Association’s business, and is our principal source of money for operating expenses. Banquet seating is by graduating class. If you prefer to sit with a party other than your graduating class, indicate your preference below. If you have any questions call Scott Souva at 315-245-5048, or by email at registrar@camdenalumni.com.

Scholarship Donation: Please note the Alumni Scholarship Donation portion of the registration form, and consider making a tax-deductible contribution to this fund. The Scholarship Fund enables the Association to provide helpful scholarships to worthy Camden graduating seniors. Up to eight scholarships of $1,000 are awarded annually. The Association wants to continue this program, and needs your financial help to do this. This year no more than six scholarships will be given due to the status of the fund.

2013 Annual Banquet Pictures….

First of all, I wish to apologize for being an “absent host” on this website the past few months. I have been involved with a lot of personal activities, including some traveling during the month of May. This did not leave a lot of time for other activities I should have worked on 🙁

So, that being said, here is a photo gallery of pictures taken at the annual banquet yesterday:

Raffle Results:
All the participants who donated items for the raffle and those who purchased a ticket were greatly appreciated because all the profits are given to the Alumni Association’s Scholarship Fund. This year proved to be very unique when Anne Schieferstine was asked to reach into the ticket container and pull out the $25 ticket winner. When the number was announced, she was pleasantly surprised to discover she was the big winner. All other ticket holders were then given an opportunity to select an item on the raffle table. A container was also passed around the room for those who chose to donate more to the scholarship fund. That amounted to $53. The raffle profit was $105. Therefore, a check for $158 will be sent to the Association Scholarship Fund.
